Service Description

Course Overview Our Adult First Aid, CPR & AED Training is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to recognize and respond effectively to medical emergencies until professional emergency services arrive. Through classroom instruction and practical exercises, participants will learn how to assess emergency situations, perform adult CPR, safely operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and provide basic first aid for common workplace injuries and illnesses. The course emphasizes proper response techniques, quick decision-making, and real-world applications that can be immediately implemented in the workplace. Who Should Attend? Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: Understand the importance of immediate response during medical emergencies. Recognize life-threatening situations and activate emergency response procedures. Perform adult CPR using proper techniques. Safely operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Respond to choking emergencies. Provide first aid for common workplace injuries, including bleeding, burns, sprains, fractures, and other emergencies. Recognize and respond to common medical conditions such as heat-related illnesses, allergic reactions, seizures, and diabetic emergencies. Apply appropriate emergency response practices to help reduce the severity of workplace injuries. Why This Training Matters Having employees properly trained in First Aid, CPR, and AED response can make a critical difference during a workplace emergency. This course helps organizations improve emergency preparedness, strengthen workplace safety practices, and ensure employees are ready to provide immediate assistance until professional medical help arrives. Course Details Course Duration: Approximately 4 hours Schedule: Monday through Friday (subject to instructor availability) Language: English or Spanish Training Format: Classroom instruction combined with hands-on practical exercises and skills evaluation. Certificate: Certificate of Completion provided upon successful completion of the course. Certificate Validity: Valid for 24 months. Refresher training is recommended periodically to reinforce knowledge, maintain best practices, and ensure continued workplace safety awareness. Training Requirements A minimum of 6 participants is required to schedule a private training session. Class size is limited to a maximum of 40 participants per session to ensure an effective learning experience. Training Location Training may be conducted at your facility or at our training location: IEC Independent Electrical Contractors 8868 Research Boulevard, Suite 500 Austin, TX Training conducted within the Austin area does not incur additional travel charges. For locations outside the Austin area, applicable mileage and, when required, hotel accommodations for the instructor will apply. A classroom rental fee of $200 per training day applies only when training is held at the IEC training facility. Customized Training This course may be customized to address your company's specific operations, workplace hazards, and emergency response needs.
